Enjoy some highlights from our three days at Craftworks, the three-day show exhibiting the very best of arts, crafts, and design from all corners of the craft sector, which took place at Shoreditch Town Hall during London Craft Week 2024.

QEST was proud to be an event partner, showcasing crafts and craft demonstrations by QEST Scholars Kate Colin (paper folding), Lulu Harrison (glass), Sofia Karatkasanis (furniture making), Justyna Medon (wallpaper design), David Morrish (digital embroidery) and Robert Walker (signwriting and verre églomisé).

QEST CEO Deborah Pocock chaired ‘Material Masters’, a panel discussion with Lulu, Sofia and David, where they shared the hours, the training and the eureka moments that have shaped their practice; where tradition meets innovation in their processes; and how they are working with designers and brands today.

Debbie and fellow exhibitor, QEST Scholar Kumiko Kihara, were featured on Monocle magazine’s radio show, ‘Monocle on Design’, focusing on Craftworks.

It was wonderful to catch up with QEST Alumni, partners, supporters and friends amongst the visiting guests – and fellow exhibitors! Thank you to everyone involved in setting up the inaugural event, and to everyone who visited.
